We are proud to introduce our team of IT professional Mentors!
- Member: coral1
- Level: Site Builder/Editor
- Introduction: coral1 got his first computer, an Atari 130XE (8-bit), at a yard sale about 17 years ago, and was instantly turned into a geek. Since then, he has spent his time teaching himself how to build, repair, and sometimes fry, computers. Like all pursuits of knowledge, it has expanded into learning bits and pieces about OS's, programing, the Web, etc.
Claiming to have a mild case of A.A.D.D., tinkering with computers has yet to become mundane for him, as there is always something new to learn.
- Topics: Hardware, specializing in "Trashcan Computers"; reclaimed, re-cycled and refurbish for a second useful life.
- Background: In Febuary 2003, he stumbled across The IT help site Experts-Exchange while researching a problem he was working on, and over the next 2 1/2 years, slowly accumulated almost 400,000 Experts Points, 3 Master Certificates (Windows 98 - Hardware - Desktops), and is closing in on his 4th (Storage). While not working in the computer field, he admits his ego is quite pleased at hanging in there with IT pros.
When given the opportunity to join Experts Round Table, he jumped at the chance to get in on helping to build something new and different.
- Personal: A picture is worth a thousand words:
coral1 (aka: coral47) is really Craig Morris, a genuine, born and bred, Florida boy. He has made his living, for the last 35+ (out of his 49) years, chasing lawnmowers around other peoples yards. The rest of the time he's in the work shop re-build computers.
